WABA migration to another portfolio (Business Manager)
Important conceptsOriginal portfolio (BM): where the number is currently (before migration)
Destination portfolio (BM): where the number will be transferred to
Points of attention (READ CAREFULLY)Never delete the connection inside the CRM.
If you do that, you will lose all conversations — and this action is irreversible.
After reconnecting the number:
Access Manage connection
Log in again with Facebook using:
Standard (Cloud API) or
Coexisting (Official API + Phone)
The number needs to be able to:
Receive SMS
Receive calls
Otherwise, there’s a high risk of:
Verification failure
Number loss
Before migrating, confirm:
The Facebook account is without restrictions
The Business Manager (BM) is without blocks
There are no restrictions on the linked WhatsApp
If there’s a problem:
It can prevent the migration
In the worst-case scenario, you’ll need to go back to the original BM
Step-by-step migrationAccess the original BM
Remove all linked partners
Wait 3 minutes
Go to WhatsApp Manager
Click on Phone numbers
Select the number
Click the trash icon to delete
Wait 5 minutes
In the CRM, use the same connection
Connect with the new Facebook account / destination BM
Follow the same flow you used before in the connection
Quick summary
Do not delete CRM connection
SIM card must be active
Check restrictions on the destination BM
Respect the waiting times (3 min / 5 min)
Reconnect using the same flow taking advantage of the CURRENT crm connection (manage → log in with facebook)
